To the uninformed buyer, $500 might seem fair for that saw... But this is the wrong place to try and convince people that any Stihl clamshell is worth that kinda money. I gave $100 for my 029 Super, and it was in near new condition at the time. A 391 is about the same thing, in my estimation...

Your full of it. a brand new ms 391 with 10 hours on it in mint condition is worth way more the 250.
What planet are you from? or are you just another low boller? out to take advantage of someone?
Don't wast my time with your low ball opinion.
Ms 391 new go for 600+, why would I sell a saw i just bought for 600 dollars and sell six months later for a loss of 300 bucks? Thats is what we call a fool and his money.

My uncle has a 291 and we cut some wood together a few weeks ago. After watching him use that gutless POS, I'm not sure I could own a Stihl farm & ranch saw. Sorry if that sounds bad but it's the truth.

So is it brand new or does it have ten hours on it. It can't be both:wtf:

I never get lucky enough to sell something for twice its true value.

You have yet to learn the art of lying and/or exaggerating? All in the form of trying to save face? Don't worry, it'll come to you one day. Lol

Thats the ad that sold the saw for what I was asking. Sold in 3 days.
If it was so over priced it would still be in my shop.
The guy that bought it has his own tree service and has been in business for over 10 years.
So I'm sure he knows his saws inside and out.
He didn't even try to low ball my price.
He looked it over, gave it one pull and she fired up.
He handed me 500 dollars and seemed very happy with his new saw.

Well, you know what they say...there's a sucker born every minute. I know one thing...someone just got screwed big time.

You and I know good and well, you would ask and try your best to get the most money for what your selling.
Don't come on here and call me a rip off artist. That is a cheap shot.

A professional buying a homeowner saw? Must not be much of a businessman I guess. As far as him knowing his saws "inside and out"...I'm thinking he actually knows very little about saws if he bought your 391 for his business. With that kind of judgement, I'm not sure I would want him doing any tree work for me.
