I just ordered 2 HOmox 62cc gas chain saws
thay looked good from the picture on the web site
i thought for 2 saws for only think 192.30 for both saws

any body ever use one of them chain saws
good or bad

Why not? I mean 2 saws for under a $100, plus those glowing reviews "the product itself is very durable and lengthens out quite a lot too" or "included fuel pulled stifle ,second force it let go and run perfect". Seems legit to me...go for it!

It is basically clone of RedMax G621 with different plastic parts - very similar mechanically to my clone. I have no idea if the port timing is the same, but it likely is. With a gasket delete, muffler mod and a little more intake width and duration it runs very well. Should weigh about 12.5lb.

I would suggest a fairly extensive disassembly, clean up of molding and casting flashing and a careful reassembly before you even run it.

From what I have seen from pictures the new plastic parts are a design improvement, but you can't swap on actual RedMax parts for repairs.

Post some pictures and videos of it - it will drive some people insane and cause them to post all sorts of stupid stuff!

Actually, post a picture from the add. I forgot that they're selling 62cc versions of the G5000-based saws too. I can tell from the picture. Hopefully it's the G621 design.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Here are some pics of a Redmax G561 that I recently repaired. It was very nicely built and is the little brother to the 621 (cylinder and piston size is only difference, I believe).

By the way, this was a stout running 56cc saw.

This stuff might have a place, think about the guy who wants to learn how to tear apart and hack up saws and then put them back together...hopefully in a better state of tune. Cheap fun? Did that with the MS660 replica's parts and ended up with a lot more saw than I expected. Maybe these can be as rewarding to the right person??

there are three displacements available, 52cc, 58cc and 62cc. the 62cc looks like redmax 621 magnesium. some redmax parts would likely fit. (found on ebay)

That is probably the model it is, however there are two basic Zenoah designs being cloned that overlap in displacement. This one, based on the G621, which is being made in 62cc, 72cc and I think even 82cc, although the larger ones don't seem to be coming into the US, only in OZ. The other, based on the G5000, in 45, 50, 52, 58cc and even hogged out to 62cc. The G621 design is maybe most of a lb heavier, but it has a larger carb and quad transfers, as well as 3/8 chain.

If this is the add I expect it's at standard 52cc clone of the G5000 design: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Homdox-20-I...hash=item28187b6848:m:mN0cfKH4RK-xR36P8o-VjVg

I have no idea how they can title this: "Homdox 20-INCH 52CC/ 62CC Gas Chainsaw with Case SYL6" What does that even mean? Which is it?

The pictures are all of a G5200, possibly the world's most produced saw. They do make 62cc versions of this saw. It's a good design and can cut well if it's properly assembled.

There is a little select feature near the New. Choose which one and the price changes accordingly. It still is a bit confusing which model (sizes of the same model) comes with which chain size. I doubt all three choices come with both.
