Yes, egos and flame wars are still global in proportion here.
First world problems.
kitties are gonna be kitties. Wannabes are gonna be wannabes. Axes need a grinding every now and then to stay sharp, especially if disused for a while.

Like bloody sand through the hourglass, these be the dazed of our lives.

If a builder's saw does the talking for them, some people on AS must be bloody hard of hearing.

Oh, and Randy, before I ask where in the queue my saw is, can I ask if asking has a bearing on the answer please? In which case, please disregard the merest hint of a question. :)

Loan me a $100 El till you get better looking!

Damn Gary. You ain't planning on every paying back that loan. :dumb:

He's an Evans, We are all handsome.

Tell em cuz.....

It's sitting here at my elbow. Took awhile to get em swapped around......but that's done. Confused the heck outta the guy I get saws from. lol

Oh, and I'm really close to picking it up. He looks like he really knows the Dolmars. The 656 doesn't look to have the zing of his 5105s but the torque looks sexy.
I'm a brutal honest builder buddy you can ask away. I'm really hoping Randy finds something I missed in the 656 solo. I hate to Crack any worms till he's had a chance to play. The 656 is a very nice well built saw. It did not live up to my expectations. Does it run good. Yes it does. Will it make a great work saw. Yes it will. Is it my pick of saws. No its not. @Hedgerow put some perspective on this saw for me at the last gtg. I truly got some good gains on this saw as you can see in my vids and it will run with several good saws. Just not my cup of tee and hence why I have it priced where I do. Move it down the road and find that saw that wows me. Lol.

You're too critical of yourself Carl. That saw runs damn good.

There's a Solo 690 on CL right now...any experience with that model fellas? I assume it has ample compression since it has a D loop handle!

Well ya know, I have an idea as to how people can solve old beefs. And in the process, test out those new chainsaw port jobs. ;)

Hmm, wonder if the Hoskeys put the roof on their barn yet, a few mods, would be the perfect arena. Plus some blood, oil, and gas stains, not gonna hurt that floor none. :D
