I bought a $20 pair that was all elastic: too stretchy IMO.

Bought some $8 -$10 pairs at Home Depot, Menards, etc., that were just right for this use. Elastic on one side, webbing on the other.

I have a pair of 'prison blues' brand suspenders I am pretty happy with. Button on, not those clip on monstrosities. Nice and wide, pretty sturdy. Slightly stretchy, but not enough to let pants sag.

I think everyone that has a chainsaw mishap says the same thing "that won't happen to me".
Get well and get back to cutting soon with your new chaps. Lesson learned.

I have Husky suspenders.

The main thing to remember with suspenders, is don't hang you pants up by them when not using them.

L.L.Bean more $$ but last 2-3 times longer,only one's I buy now tried most all others but go back to Beans
