Here's another one of my dust collectors, errr, I mean shelf queens.

I bought this 460R almost 2 years ago, from the original owner. He bought this saw to use for cutting firewood for his summer camping trips to the mountains. I think he watched one too many axman episodes. He lived in a apartment complex, and had it stored in one of his closets. He was getting out of camping and selling his gear. Said he had not been camping in 2 years.

I asked him how much gas he used in it, since new? He told me he bought a couple cases of stihl motomix when he bought this saw, and estimated he ran 10/11 or so cans threw it since new. So approximately 2-1/2 gallons. He never ran pump gas in it.

Back when I got it, I ran part of a tank threw it, @32:1, e-free pump gas. Choked up stock USA 460, meh....

Then I bought a 1128 140 0616 australian muffler for it, at a local dealer. They come without the internal baffle, larger exhaust outlet and DP cover. I trimmed the limiters on the carb, re-tuned the saw and ran another tank threw it. Big muffy outlet really woke this beast up. It's been sitting on shelf collecting dust for over a year.

Cosmetically it's pretty close to a mint saw. There's a few scratches on the bottom of the saw, near the recoil. Other then that no other blems. There is little bit of pine pitch staining on the front of the case, by the inner dawg, I never attempted to remove it. Everything works as it should. All it needs is a bar & chain and some wood to cut.

Price $800 power head only, no trades.

I put a new NGK plug in it, and brand new HD2 air filter, just for the heck of it.

I made this video yesterday. This saw has been sitting on a shelf, for over a year, without any gas in it. I store my saws dry.

I put gas in it, it popped on the 3rd pull on full choke, and started on the 4th pull on high idle.
