Hi guys, I am trying to open/remove the cylinder for my Stihl 041 AV and I am unable to find the right tool for it, as far as I believe it has 4 trox T25 screws on the cylinder but I am not sure which tool I need to use to remove those screws as screwdriver has to be more than 4 inch long, I have T27 screwdriver from Stihl, I also have Key wrench/Allan Keys T25 but either these are not more than 4 inch long or if I found a tool which is more than 4 inch in length It is not going through the cylinder holes as the tool is too thick. I am struggling on it now as I do not know which tool I need to buy that will do the job.

So far I have bought the below two tools

neilsen CT2899 250 mm X-Long T15/T20/T25/T30 Star Torx Screwdriver Set - Silver (4-Piece)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Hand-Scr...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MATG17XJ2D3C06Q10S7S

LONG ARM HEX TORX KEY SET 9PCS
http://www.screwfix.com/p/long-arm-hex-torx-key-set-9pcs/49554

If i buy the below tool will it fix the problem? I mean will I be able to remove the cylinder screws.

Hakkin 8pcs S2 Steel 150mm T8-T40 Magnetic Extra Long Star Torx Security Screwdriver Bits Set
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MXIGAT6/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A14A87C88XI8FT&psc=1

any help will be much appreciated, let me know if you have any questions.

Regards

Zolo

I bought a cheap set of t-handle Allen from harbor freight and trimmed the plastic so I could reach the screws on mine.

Unless someone has changed them, they should be M5 socket head vice torx. If you're gonna make a habit of working on saws, a nice set of Wiha tools will serve you well.
Thanks for your advice, I do not use chainsaw on regular basis and I am not professional as well so spending $50 plus international shipment (I am in UK) is going to be expensive.

Not sure if those will be long enough but if the original screws are still the ones in there I believe they are 4 or 4.5 mm Allen head

Thanks Guys, really appreciated your response, I am going to buy this one and let 's us hope i can fix it, if i have any more questions I will come back to you.
This website is really good, lots of help.
