The baddest muscle just got a little badder. This saw has been ported and polished for performance. The muffler has also been ported. If you want a quieter mellower saw you can have it by putting on the full muffler support. Or if you want to race that black 55 Chevy, you can uncork it with the smaller muffler support and let it rip!! It has a black 394 coil to do away with the limiter. All the features work as they should including the chain brake oil pump, kill switch, and choke. This auction is for the power head only. Feel free to ask any questions I am happy to answer them.
I am asking $1100 shipped

Someone needs to buy this saw, install a 20" 3/8" bar and go to town on their firewood. In record time, obviously. Or, do something sensible, like use it as a saw mill. It would be amazing for either purpose. GLWS

sorry I was planning on selling this one on fee bay

Everyone knows what you meant. I just got a chuckle out of it. We are trying to sell one of our houses to a neighbor. I set a fair price and he keeps coming down on his offer so I keep coming up on the price.

As for the saw I have had a few 3120's over the years but never seem to keep them long

Wow!

Any enlargement of the transfer's or just slag clean-up and knife edge?View attachment 592520

The transfers where chamfered to reduce edie currents at the botttom of the cylinder. Thats all that was done to transfer ports. And no work was done to the piston. Does that make a big difference on the 3120's if you do that to the piston?

Oh ya, don't have the numbers in front of me but it's about 11% flow increase, on the SuperFlow flow bench. I just pictured the valve pocket in a head and went after the Venturi effect. It seemed that the flow restrictions were created by the piston. Got really no gains from the cylinder work until the piston work. I am using the 3120 of course in this reference. I am doing a new 7010 Dolmar now and it's got the piston mods factory. So I am getting flow improvements using the bottom of the piston to create a swirl. Can't wait to try it!
