Good to hear. I was in TSC yesterday to pickup some bar oil.
Looked at the splitters hoping to find a 22 ton to look at. They sold 19 22 ton units on Black Friday and were out.
They had a couple 30 ton and one 40 ton/14 hp. with under 10 sec. cycle time. Being that big, I looked to see if it had electric start, but no dice. Nice all the way around though. Bigger tires, bigger wedge, I want to say 10" wedge but not sure now.

well I ran about 1.5 cords through the new countyline 40 ton . an it is a monster ! the 25gpm(giant) pump an the 9.5 cycle time makes splitting even the nastiest stumps a breeze ..... knock on wood no problems with the limited run time so far the 14hp kohler enginge is real smooth an low vibration easy on the ears....... the chassie has a front Y shaped kick stand that locks in place that makes the unit rock solid and can run heavy rounds.with out being tippssy or needing to be hook to a vehicle....nice ..... there is a large heavy duty log shelf that is real nice an makes working big rounds a breeze ..... I give this 10 out of 10 rating so far ...... electric start would be the only thing I could see them adding to make this better .... the pull start is shockingly easy an started every time on first easy pull . ..... also this unit came full of hydro an engine oil..... nice ....

I wish the axles were rated for highway speed though. We have the 30t and sure sucks doing 45. People get 7 kinds of pissed. We are going to try and swap them out for something better. The machines work great though.

I stopped at TSC yesterday P.M.One 40 toner on display.A good looking unit.It looked like it is made so that the beam can be swiveled left or right independent from the rest of the machine.

its designed that way for shipment. They come fully assembled but are rotated sideways in the crate.

I made the mistake of going to TSC on Black Friday and this newer version of the 22 ton, now 25 ton, followed me home. 11.5 second cycle time, 4 1/2" cylinder, 14 gpm pump, the new front kickstand is great, and the warranty is second to none. $851 out the door.

I have a good working Craftsman 27 ton (Troybilt) splitter that was giving me zero problems, but I didn't know what I didn't know. This new splitter runs circles around the Craftsman with half the cycle time. I like the wedge design much better also. The Craftsman is up for sale.

Most of the wood I am splitting is large Siberian Elm rounds. Very stringy and way too big to lift so vertical is the preferred way to use this splitter. It has split everything that I have thrown at it. I would say that I wish that I had bought one of these sooner, but this model was not available last year.
