I would pay 700 for a minty 372oe before I would pay 850 for the new xtorque for the same reason I would also pay 700 for a minty 044/440 before I would pay 850 for a 441. They are just Better than what you can go to the store and buy in my opinion. Just like I'd take a minty 346 over a 550 any day.

Then i would say you are caught up in the 372 fan club. Why would you pay new saw prices for a used saw? I know i wouldn't and it show because this saw is still for sale 2 months after the listing.

We're all not broke. My problem is that I can get a new saw with 24 inch bar and chain and warranty for a few $$$ more. That's the route I'm taking.
I feel that's a viable route.
By the way, how did you guys post all this without me getting a single alert lol.
I'm not broke either, just picked this one up :).

Right on buddy, I like those saws as well.
But let's all remember these are personal choices and shouldn't get in the way of or relationships with one another, that's what it's really all about :).
That being said, I like saws, and one should try them all to see what they really like the most. If you haven't ran a 441c, try one, they are smooth as silk(especially for a Stihl lol) and sip fuel, they also are one of my favorites as far as sound goes stock(not that that cuts any wood :)).
Here's a few I've had posing for a but if a joke in another thread.

I pay new prices for older stuff all the time. Many people don't trust the new technology and I don't always myself. I have plenty of new saws as well as older ones, as stated above by me it's about personal preference as well as many different circumstances. As far as it still being here, no problem there as I don't have to sell, just figured I'd pass it on as I got another just like it recently.
It's also obvious your not the person this saw is for, get in touch some time if there's something you need, I've got one or two others.

Yeah, because you pay for sentimental value or some perceived value on older saws over whimsical ideas.. Me..... i know better and two, i wouldn't pay your Can markup. Sorry, just my opinion!

Some times that's what guys do, but follow me around a bit and just as in this thread you can see I'm not trying to mislead folks into that.
When a logger who has used one of these for many hrs burns up his saw and wants another but can't buy one I have one at what I've deemed a reasonable price(at least I post my prices ;)).
I'm not sure what you mean Can markup.
Your entitled to an opinion as everyone else is and also to state it. Also thanks for bumping my ad each time you do, as the right buyer for this saw will show up. If not I'll take it out and make more than the price I'm asking on one job, no skin off my back as I like these saws and they pay their keep.

nice Brett, just picked these up myself .....

I like it Rod.
Those 346 though are a bit over rated, you need a 550 lol..............
I want to get a few of the smaller dolmars to try out, I've heard they'll make me want to sell my little stihls.

lol.....I go from 346 to 562xp/2260 and yes the 420 saws I like ...420/421/5105 ect. all very nice....I don't know about selling stihl's ;)

You're absolutely right I'm a 372oe fan and from the looks of his saw and knowing Brett takes good care of his gear I wouldn't hesitate to buy this if I needed it. Truth is we've beat on dads pretty hard and its still running strong. I just have a lot of first hand experience with this model and it gets the job done and it's lighter and better balanced than the xtorgue I have an xtorq saw also and prefer the oe that why I'm a fan. Your mileage may vary and that's all good too

I'm just wondering why people come on sell threads to bash the seller? I would like to know how this saw isn't worth what he's asking for it? Try to find one in this condition for less.
Been waiting for someone to say this! Nicely said.

Surprised to hear praise for a 441c. The one I ran faltered after less then 20 tanks. When the solenoids were $28 it didn't hurt so much. Now they're $60 and the m-tronic keeps eating them. Lots of engineering in that saw for sure, too bad it won't start.
Maybe they're not all like that? Funny to see a model stop in it's 3rd year of production. Maybe next year the 572 or 462 will be better.
In any case, you won't be throwing your money away with a 372 OE. And it will never need plugged in.

If I had the extra cash I'd snatch this saw up in a heartbeat. I've ran non xt 372 ' s and definitely prefer them to the xt.
