All in for a New Years group hug :lol:.
$700 is more than a fair price for a very good condition oe 372. It's not easy to find one in very good condition imo.
Maybe I should raise the price. I have about what I'm asking into this one, but a lot of time as well.
I figured since I got another at better price I would lower the price I originally listed this at.
I'm like putting a price on something and sticking with it as that's what I expect to get out of it. This was one of few, maybe the first time I've changed my listed price before(although I have added a bar and chain when I've scored deals on them to sweeten the deal), and this saw has sat longer.
It's the power of BS: Brussels Sprouts!
Those things are nasty, I'm with Gary on that one .

Just think of them as small cabbages. Tasty . I bet you told him to stop by and run it, before judging that super nice 372. If I bad mouth it will you drop your price:angry:. Have a great New Years.

Large or small .

I didn't even start it to be 100% honest. The guy was in a very bad car accident and had been unable to walk for 2 years. He realized he wasn't going to be able to use it so he listed it. I dropped everything and hit the bank, then I drove an hr and a half and gave him what he was asking for the saw(then home another hr and a half). He could use the money, and I thought his price was fair, fair enough to where I figured I'd pass on part of that deal to this one, especially since it was for another 372. I couldn't make up my mind which one I was going to keep out of this one and the xpw, well the xpw won out once I scored the newest one :).

Then i would say you are caught up in the 372 fan club. Why would you pay new saw prices for a used saw? I know i wouldn't and it show because this saw is still for sale 2 months after the listing.
Some times that's what guys do, but follow me around a bit and just as in this thread you can see I'm not trying to mislead folks into that.
When a logger who has used one of these for many hrs burns up his saw and wants another but can't buy one I have one at what I've deemed a reasonable price(at least I post my prices ;)).
I'm not sure what you mean Can markup.
Your entitled to an opinion as everyone else is and also to state it. Also thanks for bumping my ad each time you do, as the right buyer for this saw will show up. If not I'll take it out and make more than the price I'm asking on one job, no skin off my back as I like these saws and they pay their keep.

I am that logger. I now run almost all 372 oes on my jobsites when I'm running chainsaws hand felling (with the exception of a 395xp for the big ones or ones I do not have room to cut from both sides). My first new 70cc saw was a 372 oe I bought from Walkers in 2001. I have tried other saws in the interim, among them the 372xt. All parts ARE NOT interchangeable on these two saws. So for parts commonality and to keep things simple and keep me up and running, all of my 70cc saws are 372oe as that is the simplest, most economical way for me to run that part of my business, and it is in my professional opinion the best handling most reliable most powerful, most capable saw in its class ever...again, in my findings. My oldest is a 2001, my newest a 2007. Since I can still find them reasonably priced, it makes the best sense for me. If I can no longer keep them up with what is out there available, I will sell all of them and convert to something else at that time. Since that time has not yet happened, I will continue buying 372 oes from guys like Brett and others on here as it is a good outlet for me to find good used 372s.
I don't have the money right now as I just put a hydraulic pump in my processor and that didn't fix the issue otherwise the other 372 oe he has available wouldn't have lasted 5 seconds after I saw it.
For me, its not a cult following, or a cool collection that is sitting in my man cave, its just smart business, for my business.

Nice, you know there will be some small saws of different color in the quiver next yr, just where things will have to go since I haven't owned them yet.
Seems I usually end up farther ahead selling outright and then buying what I want. That being said you are more than welcome to make an offer as sometimes guys have very little into the saws they offer for trade. I missed out on a saw I could have done well reselling on Craigslist because I didn't want to take advantage of a guy, come to find out he paid 25 for it and only had to replace the fuel lines, I never seem to get those deals.

agreed............bartering makes the world a better place.......I am just like you .......not really in need of another saw........ but ALWAYS ... wanting one......... what do they call that ? .............a near new or nib... 390xp is coming soon for me and I don't need one of those either ..........:(..I DO LOVE ME A MINTY 372........
