Hey Guys. I've got 3 Homelites: The C-5, C-51, and C-52. The specs call for a chain pitch of .404 (3/8, I think) and the type recomended (or required) is the "Oregon" 52C or 52L. UHhh, they don't have this stuff at Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, etc..... Can anyone suggest where I can find a chain like this (or roll of chain) for my 3 babies?
Thanks!

Google is your friend.

I need .404 occasionally for an older saw I have. I have to go to a local saw shop and get a loop made if I need it right away. Otherwise, I order online. Like you, I find that the big box stores don't carry it.

Howdy,
Do you have any chain that you can get the number off the drive link or a bar with numbers to verify? I seem to remember seeing some of the early "C" series saws with 1/2" pitch.
Regards
Gregg

I don't know if 404 comes in Low kick back but if you can get prof chain it would probably cut more efficently
