If you do not properly re-torque the flywheel nut back down, you will now likely shear the key, maybe damage the flywheel or crankshaft too.
I have a torque wrench, just need to find the numbers on this particular saw.

btw, It didn't take much to remove the flywheel, I retighten the nut to about husky values..18-22 ft lbs

Just checked again, when i turn the flywheel left to right it's not even half a mill of play. I dont see a major issue with it. Not enough to knock the timing out of whack anyway. Could just be that the woodruff key is 'very' slightly worn and that's the cause of the knock. The shaft it'self is solid with no movement or knocking in all directions NSEW.

I'll get a magnifier onto it tomorrow in daylight and see exactly what's going on with the key. Next stop is a new plug, though i suppose i should have done that before removing the flywheel nut.

I did replace the worn pull cord without the spring flying into an alternative universe, so there's a bonus.

We live and we learn.

Just saying.......

Don't order any parts.....
I dont think you can. would probably need to go down the road of Chinese aftermarket and even that would be almost imposible. Would be easier trying to find a donor machine. Rare as hens teeth. Komatsu Zenoah G560 avs. Try finding something on them. It appears to be a model that has been forgotton about.

Yeah, I know. Look at Shindaiwa chainsaw parts.
wasn't sure if i was looking at Husky, Redmax or zenoah, all have a links to komatsu or Zenoah at one point. Was kinda hoping i would find information online that one of those companies bought the old Komatsu Zenoah stock and carried it forward, just under another model number but my search has drawn a blank so far.
