Finally got around to fixing the oiler on my husky 50 (55 top end, ported by me) and touched up the chain.
Got to block up some gnarly chunks of ornamental cherry. The saw just hauls. Its very impressive for a 50cc saw. The small chain must help (.325 pitch). It put my larger old pioneer to shame in cutting speed.

I am having trouble with the oil pump drive gear on my 350 being too tight when I thread it in. it is nylon and looks like the others I've used in the past.
I see two part numbers listed for this gear. mine came from some spare parts so may not be the oeiginal. it is a 2007 s/n/07 2203546.
are the pumps and gear paired ? never have run into this before. could the gear swell ? everything else turns freely until the gear is added.
any help would be appreciated,

Hi Fellas
I have an older husky that I kept when I thinned the herd out, it's in the shop right now but will be getting it back soon. Parts were hard to come by for it . Maybe you fellas know a good source of NOS parts for it if I need some in the future ? .Chain Saw (5).JPG Chain Saw (7).JPG Chain Saw (8).JPG

Perfect condition except I think it was put away with wet Adobe in side cover, cause it was packed solid

I will need to find out about my older Husky when I get some serial and model numbers off it. Hopefully next week ! I have it in at a real good shop !

Erik I was thinking that was the Adobe as in Adobe houses but could not figure what that would be doing in a chainsaw .Hence wondered if it was also a name for a certain timber/wood . Did they use the saw to cut Adobe ?

what shop u deal with? i use 3, [for parts only] one in langley, 2 in surrey.

I have been going to Diamond Bar Equipment out in Aldergrove quite a bit. The owner has an impressive collection of old saws. Fraser valley Equipment is pretty good too, pricey though.

Update on the Husky . Back from the shop and runs like a top ,I think ! Silver tag on it says # 1000135 not sure what information can be deciphered from that number .

A 394 that I picked up last year, was filthy and wouldn't go full throttle, made a deal with the saw 2 gallons bar oil, case of stihl mix, 2 new stihl bars and 3 used husky bars. The saw needed a new throttle cable a good cleaning. Then I came across a super good deal on the 36 in cannon bar.
The saw runs super. Ripped some slabs and made a firewood bench. A tank of fuel per cut.
