I know pretty much boopkiss about Husqvarna. I've been back to my dealer and fondled the 562XP a few more times. I really like how it feels honestly (as much as the Stihl blood in me resents it). I think it's sexy too, with the silver accent to break up the orange. What is a good price for the 562? I can get a 362 for $650 with a 20" bar, but that helps me zero in terms of the Husqvarna.

The other one I'm considering is the 572XP. I've been drooling wanting a MS462 but it's never getting here it seems like. Isn't the 572 already released in the United States? What would be a good price for it?

Since I have the 360,.should I over look the other 60cc saw, and go for the 70, or does the 562 really live up to the hype I'm hearing about it? A Timber man was at the dealer yesterday when I was looking at it, and he has a 562. So I asked how it would compare to my 360. He said it would cut circles around it.

So yeah, I'm broadening my horizons, please don't give me too much hell.

I believe the Paul Bunyan show special was $600 a couple of years ago. On one of these milling sections of an internet forum someone quoted getting one for less last year, if I am not mistaken it needed to go in for service. That would most likely be a super price not sure if they sales tax. At least you can try one out there even if only with horizontal log and cut cookie. There might be a similar show closer for you. The 562 is the smallest saw to use the large mount husky bars.

Run circles around, night and day I am not in a position to really comment, the timber guys or owners of tree service seem to rather talk about the heavy equipment an least in my limited exposure.

My take is the auto tune and mtronic are like 8 track and cassette, fuel injection will be like the cd.

I now use a fairly sophisticated tool for the tuning of my chainsaws....it uses a stereo set of sound receiving units to capture the sound of the engine...this it converts to a signal that enter the natural neural network processor section of the unit. from that point it accesses the ROM to compare the audio signature against other examples. Then it goes into a a logic routine where it tests the audio signature while slowly making adjustments to the fuel mix... Pretty cool device..its called a MK1 Mk2 Ear that is attached my Brain and from their to my fingers :)

I love M-Tronic saws and I hear the Auto. Tune is even better. Also every dealer I've talked to, says Stihls 500i cut off saw Is always having trouble.

Only from different part of the globe...

You guys are so lucky, mine was $952,53, and that's a good price locally...

Why am I always the one, who pays the most? Like the flipping airline tickets - people keep mentioning to me, how little dollar was their's, but for little me? No no Sir, THIS is YOUR price!

Bloody thing.

I confess
it is a sexy saw.
Big part of my decision.
The way it feels, fits, looks. Narrow, slim...
Not sure if I am still thinking saws...

Much more atractive than the Stihl.

much more attractive active than the Stihl.

Woahh, let's not go overboard here. I was saying it looks nice...... For a Husky. But for me, Stihls are sexier. I mean, just look at the 462. No smooth lines, or boring shapes. It's edgy, it's pow, pew, bam!

LOL.
Yeah. As pretty as barn door.
It's a little piggy!
But hey. Nothing against your tastes!
:):):)

I can’t believe the chainsaws have gone so high tech. What’s next?

I know nothing about the auto tune. Since there’s a micro computer in the husky saw adjusting the carb does the saw have a tiny battery to keep the computer alive when it’s not running?

No. It's not a "computer", it's a Micro-Processor, and it only works when the saw is running. I haven't used an Autotune, but I do like Stihl's M-Tronic a lot. Tuning for a muffler mod is as easy as cutting a few pieces of wood.

We had those goofy plastic cars and toy plastic soldiers from Japan/China.

I can’t bash China too much years ago there bicycle riding doctors can cure throat cancer. Long before we could.

Rice ? My company took over a plant in Mexico. There pay was $0.45 cents an hour. My point is the middleman and the importer are fat dumb and happy making money.
