New or used? You have a 60cc saw now I’d go for a 70cc to 75cc saw next. Anything in the 70cc to 75cc range is a big jump from 60cc. These bigger saws kick butt. If a used saw is considered I look at a husky 570xp. She I look at pics of used saws the really clean ones were probably pawned or for sale by homeowners. There still new with good compression.

No. It's not a "computer", it's a Micro-Processor, and it only works when the saw is running. I haven't used an Autotune, but I do like Stihl's M-Tronic a lot. Tuning for a muffler mod is as easy as cutting a few pieces of wood.

Does the auto tune need to be reprogrammed with the ported muffler to take full advantage of the porting?

Can we purchase the Husqvarna auto tune disc for our use?

I like the Husqvarna 562 auto tune I wish we had more reviews on it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look at the 570.

Autotune is the same as M-Tronic, it calibrate itself to a muffler mod, porting, etc.

I don't know of any individuals with the software to scan either one, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I thought about going to work at a Stihl dealership just to get a copy of the M-Tronic software and get log in credentials for the Stihl online school and diagnostic services

What does that have to do with the price of rice in China?

You said how "purdy" the saw looked, and so I commented on what I thought it looked like, which is: The Transformers things my younger nephew used to play with. The silver and orange and the angularity and SuperHeroishness of it. It looks like Superman soaring. (I know nothing about the saw.) Anyway, so did you play with Transformers?

I just put a full wrap around handle on my 570xp for felling. It’s sweet.

If your going with the new husky 562xp why not get the 562xPG? Heated handles for the winter. I had an early husky 240 with heated handles it was a hoot to cut with no gloves in January.

Darn now I want a 562xpg

Woahh, let's not go overboard here. I was saying it looks nice...... For a Husky. But for me, Stihls are sexier. I mean, just look at the 462. No smooth lines, or boring shapes. It's edgy, it's pow, pew, bam!

Yep Stihl's are kinda like fat chicks & scooters huh? fun to ride but you would not want your friends or family see you with one..

[QUOTE="My take is the auto tune and mtronic are like 8 track and cassette, fuel injection will be like the cd.

I now use a fairly sophisticated tool for the tuning of my chainsaws....it uses a stereo set of sound receiving units to capture the sound of the engine...this it converts to a signal that enter the natural neural network processor section of the unit. from that point it accesses the ROM to compare the audio signature against other examples. Then it goes into a a logic routine where it tests the audio signature while slowly making adjustments to the fuel mix... Pretty cool device..its called a MK1 Mk2 Ear that is attached my Brain and from their to my fingers :)[/QUOTE]
