Well it’s not new, but might as well be!

I’ve been lurking on the for sale threads, commenting and asking questions about the 372s that came up for sale. I had a member PM me and ask “you really want one, don’t you?” Then he kindly offered me one of his minty 372s!

Bought a OE wrap handle for it and got it installed

Also have a Works tack to put on it and my Oregon Bar showed up last night, so I better go get it mounted up! :chainsaw:

Did he really say it just like that .
Very nice saw, I'd consider that a minty one for sure.
I like the oe wrap handlebar too .
Looking forward to seeing the pictures with the new bar on it :picture:.

Busheler, what bar/chain setup are you planning on running?

I got the 28” Oregon RW, but want to get another shorter bar. Can’t decide between a 20” or 24”? I have some loops for both sizes. I want to get a bar that’s a little more rigid and one that will pull easier in the Iron Wood.

I am running the Oregon EXL chain

That looks terrible .
I'm gonna start sending my saws to you for photoshoots before I list them .

Perfect, you might not get em back though ;)

Nice I’ll be curious how you like the EXL. I’ve been wanting to try that new Oregon chain out. That saw is cherry bud. Sooo nice especially with the full wrap.

There should be a picture thread of nothing but 372’s!

Thanks, I’ll report back how it does.

I agree on a 372 thread!

Go for the 20 , save the 28 for the big stuff. To me there’s not enough of a gap between 24 and 28 if you already have a 28. Now if you only had one bar the 24 would be my choice.

Kinda what I was thinking.

I also have a 362 and 20” bar that I was actually gonna sell once I got this 372. Im kinda leaning towards keeping it around as it’s my “beater” saw even though it is in great shape too.

I could always adapt that bar if so?

If the 362 runs good I’d definitely keep it for a backup saw it. I always take 2 saws with me cutting firewood in case I get one hung up , so I don’t have to take the bar and chain off and put another on. It never hurts to have an extra. Or you could always sell the 362 and buy a 50 cc saw for a small limbing saw andbrun a 16 inch bar. Not sure what you use your saws for but a 550xp or a MS 261 are great little saws.

I've run 32", 24" and 28" bars on my 372. In the end, my overall favorite is the 24" with full comp chain.....so i agree with whats already been said. If you can have only 1 bar the 24 is the way to go on a 372(for my style of cutting). If I need to run a 20" bar I don't see myself using a 372, and as far as I'm concerned a 24" bar on a 372 can pretty much cover every thing I need from limby scrub on up. ANyhow, I'm a sucker for a 372 thread, so Ill just back on out of here for now........fyi

Archer on ebay has some nice prices on Tsumura saw bars...... they are pretty awesome looking and so far have performed well.

24 is probably my favorite bar length on a ~70 cc saw. I’ve cut some decent sized hardwood over 50 inches and some close to 60 with a 24. It takes a little bit longer to cut because you have to bore into your face cut before you go in from the side but it can be done and done well. I’m actually faster with a 24 inch bar overall at the end of the day because here in the WV mountains will drag you down packing a big saw all day.
