Yea, I'd say out of the thousand or so trees I cut every year I hit about 3 times a year

Well I cut firewood that comes from yard trees and I find a lot of metal in the wood.
Here is an example of a post oak log with a piece of rot iron metal fence embedded in it that came in just the other day. See the saw cut about a foot over from the metal bar? That was a cut I made before I spotted the metal. I just barley touched the metal before I stopped. I was lucky and didn't damage the chain that time.
Besides who drives 40 min to do a job and doesn't take extra equipment to make sure you get the job done?

Key phrase here. When it's your equipment you notice more **** in the trees...
Psh I may not own it but I have to sharpen maintain and repair virtually everything. I'm the one who gets the shaft on a jobsite if I f crap up...

I'm not exactly the low man on the totem pole here... did you miss the part where I said I rarely hit stuff in trees?

Did you miss the part where I said I fine metal all the time in yard trees?

Wasn't talking to you... he said employees beat the **** out of equipment... you say you beat your own equipment... guess you help prove my point... thanks

Um kinda. You said you work for a company and only seldom run into metal. I don't work with trees but my company buys and maintains my equipment so I assumed you work with the same respect that I do. Fast but careful.

Where did he say his employees beat the **** out of his equipment? He never said anything of the kind. Where did I say I beat the crap out of my equipment?
Your talking **** but can't back it up. I give you 2 examples of metal in yard trees (with pictures) and you ignore that and say your so skilled you can miss hidden metal buried in wood that you can see.
Well I guess your just all that and a bag of chips too. Bless your little heart!

Bro I've cut roughly a million bazillion yard trees! I work for one of the highest production tree services in my area y'all make it sound like you will hit something every single cut haha

How many is a million bazillion anyway and how long did that take?

He said when you own equipment u notice more I took that as you are more careful/care about it while an employee might not care. I'm just saying I cut a lot of trees and dont really hit much yes some is completely hidden but a lot will show atleast a little tiny defect in the bark, Dont cut near abnormalities. You want some of my chips? They are bbq! what do you want me to back up? Post pics of trees with no metal in them?

Not really sure figure minimum one tree a day generally more for 300 days a year for a decade. Tomorrow I'm going to town on 47 spruce trees in a front yard I'll let you know how much I hit.

Your putting words in others mouths. Post a quote where he said his employees tear up his equipment. That's what you can't back because he never said it.

Metal rocks concrete wire, it happens just get on with it. employees - there are always a couple that just plain are tough on equipment for whatever reason- deal with it.

Then if you get all 47, it would mean a million bazillion is 3047 trees,,:dancing:
