Homelite 955

New to the site and to chainsaw repair so please let me know if I am doing something wrong when posting. I got a homelite 955 in which I have put new fuel lines in, cleaned the carb, and can’t get it to start. I have good spark and piston looks good. I pull on rope and get gas coming out of the carb after pulling for a while (flooding it), but spark plug is dry as a bone. Any thoughts?
