Had a 11-year old Sissoo tree in the backyard and found its roots pushing up our pool deck and pavers. I noticed some pavers pushed up 25-yards from the trunk and going to my house! Already had an arborist come out and remove the tree. I'm looking for some guidance and advice:
- The arborist didn't poison the trunk and let it sit for a few weeks. Instead, they took down the tree and used a machine to pull out the base/trunk. There are roots that I've dug up and exposed that are now growing green spouts and flowers. Is there anything that I can do to stop these from growing? Is there a way to poison the roots at this point?
- I am pulling up the pavers and in the attached pictures I show quite a large root getting all the way to my house (about 25-yards from the trunk) then diving down. Can I saw it off there and be okay or will it start growing from there?
- Same question with smaller roots--I can pull up the roots all the way to the end, but towards the end, they dive down and I can't get it. Can I cut it there and cover it and will that stop its growth?
