Empty tru-fuel cans are handy for these things.
I re-fill the green 40:1 ones with fuel and, have red ones that originally had 50:1 with Bar oil.
When out in the woods it's pretty handy.
They don't leak and are very easy to direct the fluids into the tanks.

Well, except for the Godawful noise it made when it tore a hole in the metal top (like nails on a blackboard!) ... and the 2 jiggers of oil that dripped out of it when you put it away...and the 3 tablespoons of grit that got stuck to it before you used it again! (Yeah, I used to pump gas back when they still had gas station attendants...)

I was still using oil cans till last year. Found a whole pile of Mobile 1 oil in cans in the back corner of the shop.

I like re using gear oil quart jugs. I can squeeze the oil into the reservoir and when it's full you release and it pulls or sucks back into the bottle, no mess. The ones I have also have that little handle built into them, easy to loop a finger through to carry more crap.

I use a Husky bar oil quart container and refill it from a gallon jug of the same oil. My hands are not as steady anymore either; I can see the oil level well enough, but holding a gallon of oil steady while trying to pour from it is a challenge.

This is what I do except i use Echo jugs! I typically take 3 single quarts and all my small tools in a rubbermaid tote in the SUV.

I should add to this that I got a small bag free when I renewed a Field and Stream subscription, I cut a board to fit in the bottom of it and use it as a bag for all my wedges, chains, a cheap dead blow and other crap. It has two side pockets that the quart jugs fit perfectly in, I often grab that and the gas jug in one hand. It's a pretty cheap bag though, and will likely need replaced soon.

From a gallon jug, I refill the quart bottle with the pointy spicket and the slip on cap for home use. And refill the quart oil bottles with the small screw on cap for to go use.

I can use either without spilling in all except the very smallest oil fill holes like the one on the Craftsman 2.3(aka Poulan s25da).
I also have a tiny funnel if needed.

For fuel. I have half dozen quart sized trufuel cans that I refill whenever I mix a gallon of premix. I can pour straight out of these without spilling.
