Best Deal?

I'll be buying the Husky 395xp. The best deal I have found is $1,099.00 from American Pride Power Equipment. That is brand new, and it doesn't specify a bar length.

Is there a better deal out there? It doesn't necessarily need to be brand new, but something close to it that doesn't need any type of work.

Would I get out cheaper by buying just the power head, and getting the bar separately?

I am located in the upstate of South Carolina and I am willing to order online, if that makes a difference.

I think the best deal, while maybe costing a little more money, would be getting it where you can establish a relationship for everything else you’ll need down the road. Definitely not online!

With that kind of price difference, I can’t imagine $1099 being apples to apples. If so, I would ask your local dealer if they can work on the price given the competitive options.

I've definitely thought about that. I am just really shy! So, I thought I would look on some forums first before making the leap!

I would fight through the shyness and stop hiding behind the keyboard. Not to be mean, but we can only give opinions and suggestions.

Going in face to face is going to be what gets you the best deal and starts making things happen.

They are a very small town, family owned business. My guess is a lot of "old" money and they don't need anymore. Who knows though, maybe they are just really greedy or really think they can get that much. Maybe its a price mistake.
Either way, I'm still looking for the best deal!

I will go and talk to them, as a last resort. I've looked around and have seen people say they get them brand new with warranties for under $1,000. I just can't figure out from where.

The closest husky dealer to me has a 390 on the shelf for almost $1000. Seems like $1099 is reasonable enough. 2099, however is unreasonable lol.

Not sure who your local dealer is, but personally whether I was buying from them or not I would talk with a regional husky rep and say hey what's up with this.
You can get one a short hop away for 1199 with a 20, ad 20 for each size up, $1219-24", 1239-28, 1259-32, 1279-36. Easley lawn and garden or victory's power equipment. Easley said they would knock 2% off so a 395 w/28 would be 1214 instead of 1239 I was highly impressed .
Hope you find what your lookin for.
