What’s that cost $1500?Why A psy-ko ized ss version of course !
$500 brand new no way porting cost $500
Yeah , well maybe for some yes ... there’s a guy in Canada charging 995 for “bakerization” lol ... all porting ain’t created equal either ... I’ve run quite a few ported saws from different builders and I (and many others ) prefer Hotsaws101 ... it’s not just porting it’s the whole package so consider that fact ... great saws for felling and bucking and so far both saws I had done (241c and 461R ) have paid for themselves many times over ... yeah you can get a $350 job but ain’t the total package in my opinion ... besides you get a peek into his thought process which for Someone doing is his own saws is well-worth ! You pay for experience one way or the other my friend ... either ya start grinding away and blow up some along the learning curve or you PAY for experience and fast-forward your skills immensely ... if you wanted to learn guitar wood you get a guy off the bar stool to show you or PAY for lessons from Van Halen ? I choose to go with the best teacher I can afford but that just my take on it !Yep, he is way over priced on porting imo
Maybe there is a Hotsaws100 for less $$$ than the NASA priced 101? Me, I guess I will stick with my "Bird Legs" not so hot saws, cause well, they keep me very happy.I think hotsaws101 is happy to charge $400-1000 for a port job.
Yeppers , but ya gotta understand that here in wny we have A lot of EAB infested dead ash (I’m sure you do to ) Been doin some takedowns/ Processing ... most of the trees are 20” under at the stump - some are 25” plus ... drop em and dice em up with ported 461R until the wood gets 14” under ... then take over with the ported 241c ... could I cut em with a stocker 441 mag ? Yeppers ... but when your buck depends on speed then the ported saws shine ! Plus as you well know having ported saws yourself ... they are a RIOT to run ! I guess we could go back old-school and chop the tree down with the axe and buck up with a 2-man saw ( and I have mucho respect for that - I gotta have some pipes/stamina) but if for gain ya can’t coach speed !!!a 441 magnum can be had for a grand brand new
Nothin wrong with bird-legs’ saws ... ya get what ya pay for my good man ... been that way for 1000yrs !Maybe there is a Hotsaws100 for less $$$ than the NASA priced 101? Me, I guess I will stick with my "Bird Legs" not so hot saws, cause well, they keep me very happy.
Email Hotsaws101 and ask himWhat’s that cost $1500?
