Oil seeps out of the top of housing cover near just above and behind the bolts at the seal near the chain brake. Have to constantly wipe it so it doesn’t get into motor. New saw only run a month or so but 2017 model.

If oil is sitting on top of clutch cover and case, pretty common event on my 372's I have owned. Is your oil turned up to max? What length of bar are you using? Bar clean, bar tight and flush? Oiling chain well?
Yes sitting on top of cover. Pooling dripping down side

Everything is is decent shape bar /chain I have played with the oiler in all positions to to see if I can get it to stop. Nothing has worked. Oil that is coming out is dark but not burnt.

Throwing oil off chain, I assume wet enough. Oil tank is not running out before gas but uses considerable amount maybe 1/2 + tank oil to gas. Husqvarna 20 “ - 3/8 - .058. Bar not too worn. Not uneven wear.

Thinking of getting tsumara 20” bar 3/8 .050 to replace. Do I need an conversion kit to make that bar work

A lot of guys see that as poor oiling and many actually blame the bar. I’ve seen guys stupid enough to change bars because of it. When the rails get real wet oil will sling off your sprocket like it does your bar tip. When brushing out bush a 372 with it’s Oiler maxed out will make a mess even with a 36” bar. 390’s even worse. The stihls do it too. No reason to worry about any oil getting anywhere on the saw. In pro use they take bar oil and gasoline baths daily lol
