How fast is it leaking down? Most likely the needle is not reaching the seat. Which side did you put the diaphragm gasket on?

I put the gasket on the carb,then I put the metering diaphragm on top of that.Where does the little O-ring go?If that's needed anywhere I lost it.

No o ring under the seat, but there should be a copper washer I believe.
Yeah,I was told to leave the old washer in there as they're very difficult to get out.

This Super Mini SL had a bad solid state coil. I didn't have the exact one so I took one of my new coils for a XL-12/SXL and swapped cores. The VI setup works very well limiting vibration.

I was given some additional Homelite eye candy to put up in my museum when it is finished early next year. This also came from the shop I mentioned in post 11930, the widow wanted me to have these with the understanding they would be on display. The tool set is not complete, but is still a very nice representation of how the manufacturers supported the servicing dealers. She also indicated she would donate the old Homelite shop manuals, parts lists, etc. to go in the library.

The service manuals will certainly go a long way in helping to identify many of those tools. Can't rule out Jacobson units being in the mix as well.
The "going out of business" was called Higby Company, John Prichard Higby proprietor. John had a stroke and passed away at age 71 a couple of months ago.
Going through some more stuff today, his widow Pat wanted me to have the old Homelite information to put on display in my museum. She even included the micro fiche reader and a good assortment of micro fiche with Homelite information. I will need to replace the cord before I can see if the lamp still works. I've run out of room in the shop so I am now storing some stuff in my basement.
I have one more box of hanging files that includes some training materials from Homelite schools John attended.

From the collection of Joyce Wilson, the chainsawlady, an original notice appeared in the August, 1957, #57, "Sawdust" from Homelite in Port Chester, NY, regarding the announcement of the service tool board posted above. Undee70ss has scanned and posted it on his record page from the House of Homelite.
I'm looking for a clutch cover for a Homelite 2000. I posted an ad in the trading post, and just wanted to make sure that I had covered all my bases. From searching, it appears that the 1020A, 1050, and 2100 have the same cover, and that the 2100S has a different cover, but that it will work.
Am I missing any that are compatible?

I've got a Homelite 540 that I picked up cheap last yr.($15) & I'm thinking about reviving it.The problem I'm having is that I can't find an intake boot for it anywhere.It seems to me that I read somewhere that guys were using a Stihl boot & it was working out quite well,just had to trim it a bit.Does anyone know which Stihl boot to use?

The 2100s (special) has the same cover, and the Super 2100 with the 3/4 clutch. The cover thats different is the Super 2100 with the 7/8 clutch, it will technically fit but be incorrect, and its even harder to find.
