My 21 year old Grandson had a Poulan 42cc Stolen off his porch.
Last we heard is the police have arrested the thief.
He's locked in jail so we've not yet been able to properly thank him.
If fact I was embarrassed and ask my grandson how he came to own a Poulan. Ends up it's a long story but he loaned someone money. Hey we've all been there. Had it been an old green 2150 or something similar and in clean running condition, well maybe we would be upset. The funny thing this guy will do time over , well, a Poulan. I hope he doesn't run into someone in jail that actually realizes how stupid his thief is, well actually I do. That would be like burning in hell for stealing a dog from the pound. Sadly, the police returned the saw. It sat in the case full of water, now Grandson is on a cruise and saw is sitting in my shop. I'm tempted to sit it on his porch again. True story. How funny. On a serious note. I ran my Echo 590 today. Impressive. Good day.

On the bright side, the skel will get clean from the drugs he obviously has been doing. [emoji849]

Think of it as a ‘time out’ to contemplate his life choices. [emoji1696]
I'm from the old school. Thieves should simply be shot. Why house an feed them knowing full well when they are released they'll repeat. Recently, a nice couple in Shreveport gave a man a ride and some money. He promptly killed them and burned their car with them in it. He'd recently been released from prison. Give a man 1 free pass for non violent offense, next offence, automatic death within 24 hours. Crime would decrease. Yesterday, I helped some guys buck firewood. One had a Poulan 42cc with a dull chain. He said, it's a new chain. I ask if he'd sharpened it. He repeated IT'S a new chain. I told him to leave it in the truck and I got my Echo cs352 out. He was shocked how much better my saw cut. I was gassing up and he felt my chain then remarks, your chain is sharper than my NEW chain. Turns out he didn't realize NEW chains NEED to be sharpened before you use the saw. I told him to drop by and I show him how to file a chain. It takes a little longer but for me to get a chain really sharp the hand file is best. In my case it was years of practice before I got consistent. I use a good file, a home made guide and patience. I've never run a 42cc Poulan against my 34cc Echo. Maybe I'll get a chance. File both chains, gas up and have some fun. Who knows, I might be surprised, like the first time I dated a fat girl. Heck, I may set all my Echos and Sthils on the porch and buy all new Poulans. Ha. Ha. Good day.

Someones going to do time for theft under $100, what a waste of taxpayer money.
Add this petty theft to everything else he has stolen but not been caught with and it can become worthwhile. Or if seeing the inside of a jail now enlightens him on the error of his ways it could be a good investment of some tax money.

Believe if he is doing jail time, it's not his first time. Habitual.

Anybody that steals a poulan, is goofy. And, he's just helping you not waste your time on a fake saw. They are somewhat like those beautiful sculptured cologne bottles, that look like a train engine, or some other fine toy, then you discover its useless glass, and nothing works.

Ha. Ha. My grandson got it back. The thief left it in the rain sitting in the case half full of water. Not sure what Grandson will do with it. Almost a waste of time. But my Echo cs 352 has a plastic chain catch just like that cheap Poulan. First time the chain jumped the chain catch broke. Now waiting to see what Echo does. I comprehend Poulan having a plastic chain catcher, BUT echo!!!!
The engineers are supposed to design tolerances into equipment. Any engineer knows saw chains come off occasionall THAT'S WHY Chainsaws have chain catches. They should allow for the chain to come off and NOT have the chain catch fail. So if Echo starts cutting cost at the expense of quality I'm going back to Sthil. Any way cheap saws always sounds good but **** saws always sound bad. Good day

One of my cousins spent some time in jail for stealing my dads Stihl. It was one of the old farm bosses like an 038 or something. He probably cut a couple hundred rick of wood with it so he was pretty upset about it. I think he wanted my cousin to learn a lesson more than anything.

glad they caught the theif liers cheats and theifs are hard to take in this world for me at least I agree also big waste of tax payer money
Short ropes, tall trees is the best cure for habitual thieves but for some reason we house em, feed em, medicate em and think we can rehab them. Down in the swamp brother Raccoon tried that with a Cotton mouth. The snakes just kept multiplying. Never stopped biting. But Raccoon ain't as smart as Society. Now we got educated folks say de be smarter N anybody an ole Grandpa just don't know nuttin bout dealing wid human trash.
