Really? The company has been doing it that way for 30yrs ! They had a template and the inserts were placed in the openings - this was to grind the thickness ! The cutting edge was done on a cam - grinding machine - I know this for a FACT ! Worked there for about 6mo before I got tired of the bull
So they were in a template......did it come out too?

I’d never seen a Blanchard for carbide.
I’d believe they exist now.
I stand corrected.
We used them for hogging things to square and size.
 
Anyone remember the kids that would remove the intake from their lil Honda and install a cone filter right on the throttle body? Then everyone figured out that the Honda engineers actually knew what they were doing and that the factory intake was VERY carefully tuned for the ecu, and the factory setup proved to be more powerful than coke filters

But the Honda kids prolly hadn’t figured out fourth order harmonics back then it was late 90’s. They did have the fake supercharger stickers tho

You do get minimal gains, 3hp or so. And that pic is a short ram intake, it does not go filter to throttle body. There is a pipe in between and mount for the mass air flow sensor.
You get the best gain by a short ram intake and a ecu tune. 8-10 hp.
Also honda actually “detunes” their cars. You can wake up your honda by strictly doing a ecu re flash, no bolt on mods.

There is a case for telling the truth; there is a case for avoiding the scandal; but there is no possible defense for the man who tells the scandal ; but does not tell the truth !

Never did production work. Blanchard was a roughing tool.
Grind to .001.
Fine grinding was on a Micromaster or the Studer. That was a FINE grinder. Granite base. Indicators read to .000,020.....finer meant the company supplied. .

Tooling was on the Cincinnati #2.

Closest I came to production was when the Europeans were first building their Joint Fighter and myself and 2 otheres made the rivets for the composite sections.
The Typhoon. Some were $50 each.

Otherwise it was R&D aerospace. Or custom Revolver work.
I liked that best. Now I make repair parts for pumps. Retire soon.
One print the other day was from 1931.......seldom make the same part twice.
 
I already posted a bunch of links earlier and you refused to look at them.
It is perfectly obvious that in any decent occupation (bricklayer or engineering) there are only 2 ways of succeeding; one is to do very good work , the other is cheating

Sounds great, what numbers did you use for your port work? What’s the squish?

So in my research of finding another one of franks usernames on oh pee e, Ive come to the conclusion that the **** runs too deep and too wide to save him. unfortunately I will be removing myself from aiding him anymore and will return to the regular scheduled program of calling him out on his bullchit.
