My neighbor gave me a poulan 3516avx chainsaw, it runs but dosesnt rev no matter how the carb is tuned. I believe it is time for a carb kit and new lines. Looking around I can't find a replacement carb. The carb in it is marked zama w26l 84a.

Also I see on Amazon replacement carbs with fuel lines, are these lines anygood?

Is that a good eBay source? I want something that is of okay quality.
Any good guides on rebuilding this particular carb?

If someone knows the difference between a zama w26c and the w26l?

Dph1256 , did you look at the piston , ring , and cylinder on this saw ?

I haven't yet. The saw sounds like it is starving for fuel. The lines are somewhat soft, probably need to be changed. I know my neighbor didn't use it much.

Sorry, I don't know the quality of the kit. You said you couldn't find one so I posted a couple of links for you.

Thank you I had googled and checked Amazon and didn't find any exact matchs.

Things I would try:
Take the muffler off and have a look at the piston & cylinder.
Vacuum test, if you don't have the equipment to do it spray some carb or brake cleaner around the crank seals and the intake boot and listen for an RPM change.
Replace the fuel line and filter, you might find it at your local auto parts store, clean carb and test it out.
Try a carb kit or AM carb,
I wouldn't buy an OEM carb, $35 + shipping would be more than the saw is worth to me.

As above, I'd look over piston, ring and cyl before I spent a dime in parts. I have boxes of strato Poulans with scored P&C that aren't worth the $ to rebuild.
