Hi - I'm going to be looking at a P45 for sale locally, what's good compression for this saw and is there anything else to look out for on this model? Thanks!
I bought it today for $50, actually is a Poulan Pro 455. Not currently running, hope it's just a fuel/carb issue. It will need a new air filter, not finding any, suggestions? I did find a Max Flo for a P42 on ebay, anyone know if that will work? Thanks

That filter is just someone cutting it out of filter material, it would work but need to make a gasket for it

Maybe i should just try to make my own, there's a foam one there now that's deteriorating. Also, there's a button on the back near the spark plug, what does it do?

If you want to double your money let me know lol. That's a great score. The filter will be hard to find. You could convert it to a vstack set up for when your actually cutting with it. A husky 288 elbow and vstack go right on with no mods needed besides retuning it. Oh and of course whatever filter you want to run.
