what is the cheapest shipping service for shipping a complete saw?
Fedex home delivery with Indirect Signature......what is the cheapest shipping service for shipping a complete saw?
I find that volume is most crucial for Hawaii and Alaska as well as Canada.Keep box size as small as possible. You’re not only paying for weight but volume, learned that lesson the hard way.

I agree that it's not normally something needed that quick, but it's nice that happens most times, and many times priority is the same price as the normal ground so why not.FedX home or ground.
It varies with which carrier according to zip code really.
USPS priority mail is a waste of money really. Who needs something that quick? WTH !
Be nice if they left it at the house lol.Fastenal.

But your right on heavy/large items they do very well in price.
They are about 20 min from me, but I use them for larger/heavy items, never used them for like one saw. No insurance if it's not on a pallet I thought, so that could play into it. The one issue I had with them was a multi box pallet was shipped to them, they kept telling me that it wasn't there, I said listen it's there find it! They called me back, "your right", they had removed the boxes from the pallet so they had more room in the back and they were scattered and in various places in the back. Because of the I would be sure to label all boxes 1 of 4 and such and I would also put it on the paperwork as a precaution.I am either in their store or pass by it weekly, some weeks even more. Heavy items especially good rates, course volume comes into play as well.

What would it cost to ship a saw to you. I just shipped one to Dave in Nova Scotia and it was just under 100 US for a 24lb box.
We went to Niagra on the CA side last weekend and I was going to ship it from there(figured it would have saved a little) but I didn't want to have issues at the boarder, we were riding with friends so it would have been different if we were by ourselves.Yea, a hundred would be about average for most saws, if shipping multiples they like it to be wrapped up as one unit if possible, well wrapped. with a clear shipping and return address on it, contact phone number comes in handy. I ship more marine outboard and outdrive bits than chainsaws now. Shipping is just too costly on a couple hundred dollar item.

I shipped it Friday and he got it Tues iirc.
Not bad for a drive of what would be 42hrs from our place .
You must be doing something wrong if they won't sell without lol.Yeah, that is why I don't even try to sell a complete saw anymore. If I do, I leave the bar out, as that makes the shipping crazy expensive usually. But then, the saw won't sell as well without a bar/chain.
That's why I didn't, I know it can get crazy at the border. What's bad is it seems it's usually worse coming out way for us lol.OMG, don`t ever let them know you are thinking of doing that, been there and done that, never again!
