After reading the threads on the 024AV filter, there appears to be 2 filters (1 flocked and 1 mesh).

Am I correct in that the flocked filter is part number 1121 120 1625, and runs about $30?
Is this the most common type of filter that should be utilized in the 024AV?

Also

Is it correct that one can replace both 024AV shrouds with that of the 026, and then be able to utilize the more commonly available 026 filter such as those found here:

Thanks for the info and your time.

You can add MS260 (not 026) tops and use that MS260 filter on your 024 if you modify the tank vent and plug the compensator hole in the filter with a foam ear plug. It's gonna look fugly.

Your best bet is to try and find the rare and expensive fine metal mesh 024 air filter.

I just bought 2 of the 024 filters through my dealer. They're the short version. The 026 filter is almost twice as tall and the filter cover is totally different. Not sure what "fine mesh" filters are referring to. Mine are metal screen with flocking and set me back $35 each. Expensive, but cheap insurance on a great saw.

I've got one filterthat's thats mostly bare screen. I've been toying with ideas on ways to re-flock it.
