Well since I've been having trouble with my 026 I wanted to take advantage of the extra daylight and clean some fences this evening so I dug the old 036 out. It had been sitting up for a while and I just took it down and cleaned it up real good last weekend. Halfway through a small tree on my first cut and my clutch comes apart[emoji51] I took it off when I cleaned it but I dont think I did anything wrong to it. It's just frustrating, first week of daylight after work and i have all 3 saws i own down.

Where is the best place to get a quality aftermarket clutch for this saw? I do not use it professionally and hate to spend the money on OEM right now unless that is the only good one available. I see them listed all over the board in price.

Go down to Cantrell Hardware in Little Rock and talk to Bob, he'll give you a deal. Tell him Sam sent you.

Don’t buy the hutzel brand clutch. I had one on an 036 I was flipping for sale and it started braking springs almost immediately. Oem was $75 I think. There are individual part numbers for the springs and shoes and guides. Maybe you can just get the parts you need.

Exactly. In fact I bet he could get a used one on this site.
