I'm making a UHMW mounting sleeve on the tractor for chainsaws, and the biggest thing I've got here is a few 372XPs. I'll eventually get a Stihl 660 or build a Hutzl one, and probably a 572xp, and want to make sure it'll also clear the loader. Anybody got the lengths from case front to tank/handle rear on those 3 saws?

Thanks
Mike

I'd be scared to put my saws on that working end, maybe more toward the rear of the Deere.

Yeah, there's not really a place, though, other than exactly in the way when you're looking back at whatever stump grinder, bush hog, whatever is back there, or catching your tricep on a felling spike. The fenders are plastic, so that's out, or would otherwise be ideal. The fuel tank is right up behind the seat, so can't mount in a lot of that area. There's just not a real good area. This won't have a saw in it all the time, or if it does it'll be the echo top handles that we've got on the 3 and 4-wheelers. There's just times, like bush-hogging trails or using the stump grinder, when you sometimes need a chainsaw with you but don't have the carry-all on the 3-pt hitch, that has a saw mount built into it.

I like it, saw will stop a log from hitting you when it rolls back on loader arms. Have know idea how I know that. ;) May be not, have to raise it up!
