I've seen other threads about fuel lines, but I can't find any information on Sten's TruBlue Fuel Line. Does anyone know what type of material it's made of?

I’d like to know as well. It is available for a decent price locally and I like the idea of being able to see the fuel in the line. Currently using the Echo 5mm and 6mm line.

There are several types of Tygon but the only one I've found to be "Good" for Gasoline and Ethyl Alcohol is "Tygon HC F-4040-A"
ebay sometimes describes it as "Premium Petrol Gas Tygon". It's yellow as well as the other Tygon tubing (unknown composition) sold there.

Another type sold is "Polyurethane", but my chart says it's no good.

I'm hoping the Stens turns out to be "Fluoro Silicon" which is excellent toward gas/alcohol.

I just replaced a fuel line last year with what I think is the regular Tygon and I have to replacr it again. I'm just trying to find something more resistant.

All the knockoffs soured me on trying to get actual Tygon fuel line or the True Blue line. Echo fuel line is black, so you won't be able to see through it, but so far it's good for at least 3 years with fuel left sitting in the saws. I realize it's slightly off topic, but thought I'd throw it out there if it helps someone

No, not off-topic, that's fine. I'm looking for a line I won't have to replace every year.

In addition to the first request, does anyone know the composition of the Echo Black Fuel line?

Not sure of it's composition. I bought it from a sponsor here. @fordf150. He owns performance Outdoor Equipment and is a great seller

The bulk Stihl fuel line seems similar, holds up really well. Had absolutely rotten from ethanol carbs come in and the fuel lines are still supple and don't have holes.

I've heard that also but never used it. The two do look very similar. I think the Stihl line is just a touch thicker

We have a few of the Echo fuel line kits and I'd say the vent line is that yellow tygon stuff, the main line is what you're describing and is thinner than the Stihl, at least OD is thinner. It's also a lot cheaper - at our shop the Stihl stuff is $2 a foot!

Well make sure you are buying the right echo line. I’m not a sponsor but there is a couple different variants of the same composition product
90014 is 5mm OD and 3mm ID
90015 is 6mm OD and 3mm ID

I used it on an echo cs-400. I had to bypass the primer due to the blue line kinking on the tight bends. I never had a similar issue with the yellow tygon or the black Stihl or echo hose.

I only use the 50:1 pre mix husky fuel in a can I add a tad more oil to it, some seafoam. No more ethonal gas used here.

Which line do we trust enough to use?

I always used gates rubber hose fuel line on the cars/trucks I wonder if they have ethonal proof fuel line now?
Yells caution with sea foam in 2 strokes. It a cleaner to remove carbon and oil, the lube oil is in the fuel and sea foam removes oil.

I will not use it either. Run what ever makes you happy, oils, fuel, cleaners, snake oil. Quality oil and fresh non-ethanol gas is all it really needs.

I think fresh is also another key word. I've let pump gas sit in carburetors over the winter and after 6 or 8 years they don't want to run right in the spring. Seafoam has fixed that on 7 different Honda engines for me

Agree, changed it to fresh.
