I have seen them go recently on Ebay for around $600 if you want a new one, not bad. A good used one will go $400+.
Would you try to change it for a stihl 028avs and some cash ? I bought recently that stihl and I dont know if its worth making the deal..

I have had both as powerwise pretty equal although I believe the 028 is a little heavier and older. If the 028 is in good shape it will do what a 346xp will do, but the 346xp is worth more.

So pretty much there is no sense for me to buy 346.. Thanks!!!

Having already a Stihl 028avs, there is no sense buying a husqvarna 346.. All I use it is for firewood and small felling

Far as I know 346 doesn't cure cancer, so I'd go with the saws you have instead of spending more $$

My response was tongue in cheek. I totally understand. I would not drop that kind of coin on a new one. I like them dirty, mis-matched, and nasty to re-build.

That looks like some of the POS I have rebuilt. Matter of fact I just bought this 350 last night from Junkqueen and have a new 346xp top end waiting on it. I think that makes me about 30 346xp, 350, 353 combined lol.

No need for 30 here, but a few different flavors would be nice. The idea of a really nasty one with a 345 starter and some work done to it to make people shake their heads makes me smile.

Then YOU should buy the 346 xp and have it send to ME, then i'll send you a jred 2055 with heated handles and carb that needs quite a lot of TLC, it actually got a Really Nice cylinder

Yeah I Know, i'm dreaming again

But it's a good one

I bought a 346xp didn’t need it but it fills a gap in my humble collection. Plus she runs at 14,000rpm. Convert that to feet per second chain speed. Now you don’t need one? Everyone should have this mini muscle saw.

If it started with 21 instead of 20, and heat, we could talk.

I think the 346xp rev’s to 14,500 rpm. I wonder if porting and some tweaking on the tuning we could push past 15,000 rpm. This could be the Mighty Mouse of the husky saws.
