Welcome to the site @Jiwion82 Did you try to google huss logsplitter? There are a number of sites that came up with that search.

I have a similar Huss. Same color with an 8 or so hp Briggs flathead.

I googled Huss about five or more years ago, and, from memory, found they were a Toledo based manufacturer, and built splitters in the mid 80s.

You should do a search to verify that info, though.

The pump was an off the shelf unit, but I don’t remember who made it.

The engine will have a data plate, and I ordered a carb kit from an unknown internet source for mine, using the info from the data plate. I think there are some numbers stamped into the lower part of the block. If you can pull it over and it has some compression , it should start with a carb kit and new plug. Clean the gas tank and change the engine and hydraulic oil.

Mine burns oil, but, somewhat amazingly, it starts on the second pull every fall when I pull it out of the woodshed, and has never failed to split a gnarley round.

Issues are that the beam is too close to the ground, so it’s tough on your back, and the valve is not set up to automatically retract the Ram. You have to physically hold the valve, which increases cycle time, as you can’t prepare the next round if you are holding the valve.

Every year I contemplate replacing the old Briggs with a HF predator that sits in the box, unopened, replacing the old, hard and cracked hoses, replacing the valve, and raising the beam.

Every year I split my wood, wheel the old gal back into the shed, and promptly put the upgrades on the back burner.

Did a couple more searches, and found threads on Huss splitters on this site, Tractorby net, and Yesterdaystractors.

When searching the web it often helps to try different word combinations, for example Huss sales, or Huss splitters, Huss logsplitters, etc.

I have seen quite a few posts about huss splitters but none are for my model. I am looking for specific info for my model as i am wanting to put a 16gpm 2 stage pump on it. I need to know what pressure the ram is rated for.

A larger pump will require a bigger motor but what you will accomplish is a very fast cycle time but not any extra splitting power (unless you get a larger bore cylinder as well)

An 8hp will run a 16gpm pump. And yes i want a faster cycle time as this splitter does not have an auto reverse

Then I assume from what you are saying you are using a 8 HP motor. the way I understand hydraulics (SOMEONE jump in as needed) Bigger pump more flow but most gear pumps work around 2500 and fade out around 3000 psi The cylinder for most splitters work around 3000 psi and use a 2 stage vane pumps and high pressure side is usually set to bypass at 3ooo psi . Regardless of which pump/motor combination you run your ram should do just fine as it isn't going to get more pressure than it is getting now disallowing the old pump wear and condition of cylinder packing and so on.
Just trying to help ..

I also have the very same model 10405. Do any of you other owners know where I can acquire a manual, parts numbers, and a place to order parts.
I have several repairs to make. The most important being the Lovejoy coupler.

This splitter is a back breaker to operate for any length of time, but I haven’t had a log yet that it couldn’t crack.

Thank you

Love Joy couplers are a common item at any bearing/"V"belt industrial supply place. Or an agriculture/Farm store. Just get the measurements Like shaft diameter (Bore) number of fingers in the spyder (rubber or nylon) center part and the Outside diameter of the Coupler itself. And the keyway width. U S Surplus in Lincoln Nebraska is a competitive price place and usually have them. they do internet sales .

Mine has a 4" rod. 11hp vanguard
