I have been burning everyday this week. mid forties and rainy ,,thirties at night. It is suppose to get warmer now. I will be glad to be done. I went through a lot of wood this season.

I had my last seasonal fire in the country last week. got cool couple of nights. so I lite off the fireplace down in the ranch clubhouse... and enjoyed a fire with some friends... the serenity was enjoyed by all...
peaceful and relaxing! usually I can relight the fire the next morning from the remaining coals. I always try! first get them exposed, then paper, then some axe split cedar kindling, then some kitchenwood... and once ablaze... some firewood. 
but my season for having fire in fireplace doesn't end with cool weather nights... I have camp fires 365/7 as a rule... a hot 98F in August? no prob, always time to sit and enjoy the fire.

Still burning wood here, though not 24/7.
At the shop they keep putting wood in it, was dripping sweat yesterday. 75+* is a bit hot, unless it's cold outside.

I let mine go out yesterday for the first time but had to relite last night. I may have to get one more load of wood if this keeps up. Got enough for a couple weeks up at the house.
I sure hope this burn season is done soon. I love burning but went through a lot of wood this year.

I think I'll light up right now. Chilly and rainy here. Well, it's been rainy for a month, but today is dry.

41F feels like 37F and damp this morning after 4 days of rain.
Went down and started a fire in th furnace only heat we have.
That Ash makes some nice heat quick when I leave the draft and damper open for a bit.

I stopped well over a month ago, maybe longer. We've already hit mid 80's this season. We will probably hit the century mark come mid June.
