I just picked up two saws. Both husqvarnas ones a 142 and the other a 41. Both need new fuel lines as they are broken off inside the tank. What size line is this? I have searched but can’t seem to find it.

Thanks

Yeah it’s the smaller line. Found a piece in the ones tank and it was written on the size.

So if I drill it out it will fit the bigger line and still fit snug on the carb

Keep in mind, the line should fit the hole tight enough to seal but not so tight that it restricts fuel flow. I just had this problem with two Husky 128LD trimmers. Both ran great for a 4-5 seconds at WOT, then bogged down. Drilling the tank hole larger corrected both.

Thanks. Didn’t know making it slightly bigger was a possibility. Also what’s a good cheap fuel filter for these? I’m going to order some today as soon as I get the chance.

Electrical grommets can accommodate too large a hole and a smaller diameter fuel line. You can find ones in a multipack and pick one with the tightest fit for your size fuel line. They seal fairly well too

Yeah I’ve used a little oil in the past or get it through. Just had no idea of the size as there was no lines on it It took me awhile to even find were it went into the tank.
