A tweener saw 372, 576, 390
.2 more hp than the 372 at 5.7 & .8 less hp than the 390.

It's a super smooth saw though, a little chunky around the middle. Can be had in the AT version or standard carb, gobs of torque

Have had two minor issues w/ mine over the 5 years I've had it: one muff bolt worked loose & the on/off switch went south.

I've priced them new in the $750-$800 range pho at the dealer

Compression test good? Will they let you look at p/c? Super nice $450-500. Less is better. Start and spray carb cleaner on clutch side if stalls, probably spun bearing in case pocket. We need pics when you get it and price, you may suck.

Started it, ran good, oiled, revved, and idled fine on sides and upside down. I'll go back in a couple days and give it a more thorough look over then maybe pick it up. Thanks a ton for the info!

In general they aren't very good saws. Husky pulled the plug on them pretty quick. I've seen the cases on one fall apart around the main parts of the saw just from normal use. Personally for a 75cc saw it felt pretty chunky.

What? The first 576s to roll off assembly line had some issues.

Husky hasn't "pulled the plug". It's still on the website, still available for sale;)

The AT 576s have been reliable

Ya, a tweener saw.

Bravo the truth will come out. I seen very few saws that don’t come close to the cutting speed of my stock pro husky saws. If we keep the chain razor sharp and the rakers set there faster cutting. On my last cutting job at the saw mill everyone called us the ax men of the northeast. The new 385xp and 575xp put on a show with 32” & 28” bars in big trees.

The 576 is... A late model, pro, mid size saw from Stihl or Husqvarna. It’s hard to go wrong.

I like the 576, good hardwood saw, real torquey. A lot of its predecessors, (570/575XP) had some bearing problems, I believe, that have since been resolved.

I think I can make a 461 cut faster depending on the way I’m cutting with a 28 or longer, particularly in softwoods. Not by much, but if you’re just letting it self feed the 460/461 may beat it. It also has more displacement, to be fair. I think the 576 would do better with the rakers dropped down a skosh.

It’s not my pick if I was forced to pick between the 372, 572, 575, 576, 44, 46, 441 or 461 but it’s definitely not the last and also definitely not something I would pass up if I needed something this size for $425 and it was in real good shape.

I think the biggest problem with the 570/575 is the oil mix is too lean. We’re running good used condition 570’s right now with no problems yet but we’re around 38:1 ratio. Time will tell I have 8/570’s.

Like I said the one I got my hands on had several cracks in the case and sections broke off. Thought for sure it had been dropped. None of the plastics though were broke. Asked the last owner what happened and he said it just slowly started cracking little at a time. Decent price though...
