Bog Down

RedMax GZ3500T Chainsaw. This thing idles beautifully with new carburetor, but , give it gas and it bogs down. I initially thought the carb was bad so I replaced it, same problem [emoji34] Anybody had issues with the spark arrestor on these things ??? I believe that this is the same saw as a Husqvarna T435. Any help would be greatly appreciated !?!?

Well check the spark arrestor, if it's clogged remove it. I'm looking at the spark plug which in most caese doesn't tell us much, but here unless you're running SEA30 mixed 16:1 the carburetor needs adjustment, which is likely as it's new, carbs need to be adjusted regularly.

That plug is a mess. Mine look clean after cutting. There are so many possibles, that getting info from a site like this is near impossible. Find a friend, or pony up and have a shop help you out.

I figured it out. Apparently the coil came loose on it from the previous owner and flared at the contact point but unbelievably still works !!! [emoji23] I did clean the spark arrestor. It wasn't too bad. I messed up the muffler in the process because 1 of the bolts holding it on wouldn't come loose [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] An extractor didn't work, so I drilled the bolt off [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] All n All , IT'S WORKING GREAT !!! I cleaned the spark arrestor and wasn't the problem, nor the factory set carb(set perfectly) If you read other comments explain. Thanx !!!

Awesome news that you got the saw running![emoji106]

Do understand there is no such thing as a perfectly set factory carb, thaty come with a basic setting that will normally allow the saw to at least start, but not always. If you buy a new saw from a dealer, they will tune the carb when you buy the saw, at least that's what a good dealer is supposed to do.[emoji111]
