So there I was at the local Husqvarna dealer, picking up some chains, and caribeaners. Sitting on a shelf was this lovely thing whispering to me "look at my sleek lines", "go ahead pick me up and see how well I fit in your hands", "you know I'd make a great addition to your collection".

Well I dunno what happened it just kinda jumped from the shelf to the register then again to the back of my truck. I didn't have the heart to tell it that I couldn't keep it. You folks know what i mean rightIMG_20190926_153859.jpg

Sounds a little familiar, except in April, a White truck "Left" a 550xp(Not XPG, you got me beat there;)) AND a 390XP on my porch, then "Mysteriously" the SAME THING happened Again Yesterday, with a 395XP:rolleyes::innocent:

Wish I had a Good Husky dealer nearby, but I have an online dealer that has been taking care of my "Needs" for saws, the other items, a Friendly local Stihl dealer treats me well, but Dayum, Tim Hates hearing that I got a new saw, I just remind him that they USED to sell the right color of saws in the past;)

Doug

Ya I'm not sure how I'd cope without my local dealer lol and I know he loves when my truck pulls up

A 572xp and 395xp are both on my list for the next couple visits. I'm holding off on a 390 as there are some whispers of it going the way of the 372xp with a redesign into a 5 series

I have been eyeballing a couple saws... the 390xp looks real nice, but I think I’d rather just throw a 390 top end on my 372 when the time comes. When I say the time I think I mean to say when the 372 is wearing out. I have a great machine shop nearby that I’m confident could mill the piston pin hole in the 372 to the 390 spec, that’s all that’s needed to do it. The 372 xtorq carb will be big enough once gutted so I can keep that, then just need a boot... as long as the rod is the same length she should work... ;)

Other than that I’m trying to think of a saw to outright replace the 550. I want large bar mounts on the “3”. Probably pickup a 562xpg sometime and will have to explain that purchase to the wife !!
