well..... I better not. Now Centaur would do that deal. You don't want that old press, only old fools own them.

Pretty weenie. I would just stick that thing up on the wall so on warm, quiet, summer evenings you can go out and listen to it rust. Grab a Lincoln battery grease gun. Best money you will ever spend.

yup, right up there with electric fuel transfer pumps in your service truck. A failure waiting to happen when a good handpump is every bit as effective

I drove over my ancient Lincoln handpump with a tractor one day not very many years ago. I'd been using mostly that one for 25 years or so.

Now I have a POS Chinese gun from Canadian Tire. I salvaged the Lincoln tip and put it on it, which is way better quality/fit than the Chinese tip and it is still working like new.
The Chinese one doesn't have the little escape hole at the rim like the Lincoln , it has a fancy push button valve which is hurtin' at best. It also doesn't release or hold the push rod in the silky smooth fashion of the much more simply constructed antique gun.

Yea that’s funny. Our diesel tank used to have a hand pump on it. I probably cranked enough diesel through that thing to fuel an Iowa class battleship. Luckily the handle finally snapped and it got replaced with an electric pump. So much better and you can actually do something else while refueling like grease a few zerks.

Here is a hand crank for you. I saw one of these at an engine show the other day. Guy wanted $100 bucks for it and I had a bill just burning a hole in my pocket but the old adage just kept ringing in my head.

Heres an unbiased opinion on the stihl vs husqvarna war going on.

Stihls two stroke engines are great. I turned away because of the 272, 372, 385, 394, and 395, Were rock solid tough bodies.

Ran over two 395's and neither broke.

So I suited in all husky.

I picked the wrong decade apparently because all the small commercial equip of theirs I have used is ****. Its flimsy weak built junk.

I still love the 372 and 395.

My 395 is my soul mate.

Every other thing is going. From my piece of junk mower to my top handles.

I literally have been running a 17 stihl as my climbing saw because I had two top handle huskys crap out.

Husky and stihl are in a war and have been for years.

I have heard bad things about stihl 201t's but will be buying one. All I can say is it cant be worse than the t540.

I have heard bad things about their pole saws....well it can be worse than husky.

I like stihls engines today and I hope their bodys hold up.

I am probably too hard on things.
Fact is though I just have to have the hardest body and the new husky crap flakes apart in my hands.

I hope to hell that isnt the case with stihl because thats where I'm headed.

Any homeowner grade stihl or husqvarna is crap I am sure. Commercial grades have their positives usually but not with the mid to small huskies I have seen.

395 will be my primary as long as I can buy one new that hasnt been pu$$ified by husky trying to cut corners to save money or "make it lighter."

By the way stihls straight shaft weed eaters are absolutely bad ass! Holy cow I can't believe how far they have come with that tech.

Hey.... Husq's stump grinder is ok. Its almost as if a different company made it and they put their emblems and paint on it.
The emblems and paint are kinda crappy though lol.

"028, 038, 041. Add "Super" to any of them and it's that much better."

I didn't read all the responses but like this one, even better if you add "Magnum" to the 038. I had one for quite a few years and you could drag it behind the truck with a chain 20 or 30 miles to the job sight, pick it up and start cutting wood, it was the toughest saw I ever had in the line-up........Cliff

The Biggest ECHO pole saw seems to be the best choice on the market right now. Mine is a PPT-280 but I believe it’s been replaced by the 2620.

Their CS-355Ts give a 200T a run for their money after a Muffler Mod. I’ve got (1)-200T left,( I bought one of the last low mileage 200s last year & had my man go thru it), & a new CS-355T. The 201TCs are good units & a great choice if you want to spend 2x the CS-355T.

The 395 is in a class by itself.

I’m a 261, 461, 066/660 kind of guy myself. If an R model is available, that’s the one for me.
