Sent a 390xp to a guy in Michigan a "Lewis Robert" I was trading even up for a 046. Delivery was confirmed. No 046 after a month. A Google search brought up a criminal record and absconding from parole yesterday the 20th. It had a full wrap, dual dogs and was a 2012 model. I purchased the saw off a member on here years ago. I would appreciate it if anyone sees a similar one come up for sale to get ahold of me. It is a fairly unique saw for the east, and one I fed my family with. Thanks!

Some guys from a FB group found it for sale in Michigan and are on the case.

Thanks, I will keep you all posted

About 35 years ago I guy I knew had several Stihls stolen out of his pickup. About a week later a guy in a bar offered to sell him some saws. He went to the thief’s house and in the basement he found his saws painted McCulloch yellow. He beat the guy so badly he spent almost a year in the Adult Correctional Institution. He said it was almost worth it.

no justifiable assault for stealing someone's property and [potentially] robbing them of their way to make a living?

If I was on the jury, he either would have been acquitted, or gotten a Hung Jury.

I have no use for thieves, and would have considered that more fitting punishment, than the courts would have been likely to give the Thief .

Maybe wrong in some people's minds, but the slap on the wrists the courts give any more, obviously aren't enough of a deterrent to prevent much crime.

It was a long time ago and I don’t remember the details. I’m going to assume it was a bench trial and a plea bargain agreement without excessive time served. I do agree and espouse the theory that a little more direct dealing with criminals by their victims could possible cut down on petty crime. Punishment needs to be swift and sure in order to act as a deterrent.
