no port timing... just squared off the intake and exhaust a bit... and ground on the base of the cyl for better flow....

when I first started doing this, I did a search for pics of "ported" base adapters... there isn't much. certainly, for basic cylinder porting principles, i'm sure there are tons, but skill wise I'm not there yet. if I graduate to a 372xp then i'll get a guide out and likely bring the cylinder to the dental office and use my nice handpieces

Incidentally, if anyone wants to know the thickness of the base adapter.. its 1.335" ... roughly. Measured a 2nd one... 1.334" ....

Was this the freaky 350 you brought to the CT GTG?

Any other mods made? Timing retarded back to stock? Degreed cylinder? Play with upper transfers at all?

Honestly at this point I don't remember I'm pretty sure I left the timing advance but I don't remember that either I'm pretty sure I did end up taking this one into the dental office to work on the transfer is a bit but I would assume that the port timings were nothing fancy probably somewhere around 105 1 25 + 78

Porting, I move the exhaust port up, the exhaust opens sooner, the intake down so it draws in fresh gas sooner. I advance the timing a tad so it matches the advanced timing on the ports. Otherwise it’s too retarded, sluggish. Tuning is part of porting.

105 125 78 primary flat secondarys toward the chamber or edge of chamber. Depends on the jugs timing and port shape to begin with. I have a very rev happy 350 with a kafar kit that I went nuts with. Took exhaust up to 98 trans at 125 and intake at 82. Loves to rev but power band is way high and narrow. Great limb setup.

I tried porting one with higher exhaust. Instead of making more RPMs, it made less. It ran OK but not near are as strong as if left low.
