Hello everyone,
Thank you for having me. I spent some teaching myself how to work on small engines. Any time I have had some sort of problem, I was always able to lurk around here for answers! That eventually brought me to actually join and post.

I bought a beautiful 1 owner Poulan 245a that kind of sparked this new hobby/love of mine.
I rebuilt the carb, refurbished/new pull rope assembly, new piston w/rings, cylinder was in amazing shape, new flywheel, new ignition coil, new air filter, spark plug, fuel lines, fuel filter, All gaskets have been replaced as well.I wanted to keep the original paint and scuffs and such. The electrical tape easily comes off revealing the 245a logo. I put it there just there as a homage to the original Saw Leatherface used in 1974.. ;)

Hearing her rip for the first time was glorious.. such a beautiful saw. Right now I have it on display. I don’t run this saw at all on wood but I’m curious. This video is showing how bad this saw wants to run. It starts and idles perfectly.... it’s also before I put the original log dog back on. This saw is in incredible shape!

Thanks!

Nice looking and clean saw; sounds great too. Well done on the rebuild and thanks for sharing :chainsaw:

Welcone and let it eat. Nice job.

Snapped a few quick shots! I’m looking to put a 20” bar on it that resembles the stock bar. Give it some umph!
