Good buyer here guys, he purchased my CP125S. Mike, let me know your budget as I know where a couple are at, but the last time I spoke with the guy he was up around 2k and not budging. A good 101b motor itself is at least 8 to 900 bucks now days alone.

Within the last few months I was able to pick up 3 101's in the 5 hundred range. One was NOS never been run.
If he's going to put into a stock saw chassis then he won't need exhaust or intake. Short block with head is about
all you will need.

Well, I'd say you are in the right spot at the right time. I paid $650 for the one I have and it doesn't have the tapered crank shaft, but otherwise in good shape.

Any 101b engine for sale got 790 I’ve wanted 101b saw for about 10 years but don’t think we got any those down here in New Zealand and will 101a work it has tapered pto thanks

Do you have 101 engine for sale thanks

Old Post I know....this caught my eye. I didn't know a 101 would fit in a front tank chassis?

It will bolt right in but there are a couple obstacles. The main issue is the stuffer
as the long stroke of a 101 will hit the stuffer on a short stroke motor. Also the
side cover with the points is for a super series motor so will need to use a super
series fan housing. I have never done one in a front tank but this is what I see as
being an issue.
