You can really tell something about the USA at the time, from these saws that came with an attachment of every kind , it definitely says" don't worry I got this and I'm not gonna need help !"
Self sufficiency has dwindled or if you are it seems like your a weird survivalist (prepper) in the eyes of society.
Guys who came home from WWII must have loved these saws.

I have a 33??? I think setting in my shop with the carb off it. It has been that way for 2 years now. I need to get it together. It ran on prime. I was looking at it today. Maybe a new saw for Ron...LOL

Brian

You will have me on the Bultaco before you’ll have me running a 33 for work. Ron

I pulled the 5-10 down to the block tonight. Very very dirty, and people that use used engine oil for bar and chain lube should be beaten!
Need a muffler, recoil, dsp lever or a complete tank bottom. Probably should do the complete tank bottom, it has a hole in the airbox likely from a thrown chain, and the handlebar hole is stripped out.
Do the starter pawls look normal for.one of these? I've never had a RH start before. The recoil wouldnt grab right, but it is all messed up.

Paws are bent in.

I also want to do crank seals while it is apart. Who has the off the shelf numbers?

PTO side seal is SKF 6119. The flywheel side varies based on the bearing, one matches the O.D. of the bearing and one presses into the extended outer race of the bearing. Just get the shaft and bore measurements and go to a good shop, they will be able to fix you up as either seal is a standard size.

The part number is suspect but the size perspective is correct.

Mark, it is the one that presses into the bearing.
