Mould released beautifully,

First stage done, however I will add another layer on jb inside the pocket either side of the key way for strength, may even treat myself
To another piece of fiberglass either side. Don’t want to build it too much and make the Av mount too hard to fit in, but don’t want to not go strong enough and it crack from the pressure of inserting and movement / vibratipn..will add 2-3 more layers of jb and fiberglass on the outside anyway..

Not too sure about the strength, but it looks beautiful! Nice going!

Thanks mate, I haven’t used Jb before so I don’t know either! Hoping 5-6 layers of fiberglass will help with ridgity too. I would like it to work of course, and will be gutted if it fails, but you win some you lose some so we’ll see. Won’t be patching up any of the case half until I know this AV mount works well.

Toms butt plug manufacturing.

I'm far from an expert on this, but i would be worried as you didn't grind back the rot to clean metal before filling it with jb weld.
I hope I'm wrong... only time will tell.

There was no remaining bark, rust or lose pieces, paint etc. it was degreased 3-4 times, scrubbed with a wire brush, soaked for 24 hours In evaporust, dried and then went over it with Jb. I have been told that once rot has set in, it will just continue to worsen very slowly over time, but I have given it the best chance. If it fails it fails, but I won’t lose any sleep over it :)

I hope you degreased the piss out of it with brake cleaner or something like that, or it will never adhere for very long. DAMHIKT...

Put a magnesium supplement pill inside the crank case before you bolt the cylinder back on..
