I'm sure this may cause a fight, but here goes.

What is/was the best 70CC Husky.
Which is the most desireable?
Why?

Am I correct in my recollection that Husky discontinued the 372XP and brought it back?

They have great anti vibe, very snappy acceleration, excellent ergonomics, good power, and an air filter that stays clean. They're durable and have had an impressive service record.

There are 3 different versions of the 372. The OE, which is a basic 2 stroke and probably the most sought after, the XPW which has a 75cc top end from a cutoff saw, and now the x-torq, which is a strato saw. All have their fans. Any of them are a good choice to run a 20"-32" bar for anything from cutting firewood to logging on the west coast.

Well, at my side of the pond they removed it from their catalogue just after new year, at about the same time they raised their prices by some 50-60 dollars on all the pro/semipro saws.
Usually that means it's no longer made, definitely no longer sold in my country except perhaps one or two shops that still have one at the shelf in their store.

How does the 272 stack up? I found one at the pawn shop calling my name. Not in as good shape as my 288 but might have potential.

Stacks up great. Feels a bit lighter and more nimble than the 372 but way more vibes, outer clutch, brake flags always brake... Great saw though.

Bought my 272xp new in 1997 , been using it every since with two carb rebuilds and several plugs being the only work done on it . My sons 372xp has more power and less vibration and heated handle and carb , ask me again in 23 years whats best and the 372xp may be it by then . Likely I'll be dead by then and it wont matter .

A 046/460 that has a xp sticker on it.

Eye disagree.
