Not a chainsaw but an Echo concrete saw CSG-680. Won't fire at all: weak spark, comp 125psi, fuel in through the carb and plug hole and nothing at all. I'm thinking broken woodruff key putting timing way off. Any thoughts before I pull the clutch off?

Thanks
I might Check the air filter
Coil or plug wire before tearing into it

Wow, I guess I should put them up too:

Dang Lee, I'm not much help. I tried to find out if it's an electronic model and couldn't even find that. If it has a weak spark I would think the module was working. The only thing that throws a loop on any of my Echos is the electronic module.

I found another Echo at a garage sale. It’s a CS-5000 and it fires right up and runs great. I don’t need it but for $60 I couldn’t walk away. The chain is practically new and the saw is in great shape and will clean up nicely. An Echo scabbard is already ordered. My Echo collection has grown to nine. I consider it a good start! lolA75E77D5-C183-48FF-B12C-383353E72C0D.jpegB651D30B-83DF-4784-B78D-60A5E5A63F4B.jpeg

OK so it turns out that it does need a coil one on order. I'll let you know!

I think mine is a 2016. All plastic just like yours. Got it new in box on eBay for $235 delivered. Fired right up then and everytime since. Has good power for it's size and weight. My only complaint is it doesn't put out as much bar oil as I like.

Hey ammo addict is there a way to adjust the oil out put?

Hi guys,I've got a CS500VL that I've had for almost 2 yrs.now.I've never had the saw out cutting because I knew there was a mismatch with either the sprocket, chain,or bar.Today I took the saw out to putter with & found the problem. The previous owner put an Oregon 72 chain on it instead of a lo pro chain. The rim is kinda chewed up,but I can replace that easy enough.According to Acres' site the saw should have an Oregon 76LP chain on it.I've never even heard of a 76LP.I tried looking on Feebay for one & found nothing. It has an Oregon 3/8 pitch .050 gauge bar on it that's in good shape,so I'm good there. What chain should I have on the saw?

Do you know if it is a 16 , 18 , or 20 inch bar ?
I looked on oregonproducts.com and the 20" bar takes 70 drive links .

The 76 was a regular 3/8 chain with a smaller plate design . A bit easier to pull, but not low profile by today's standards. I've run loops of it that came on 452's. It performed well. It has been out of production for 30+ years. Having said that, I run 16" 3/8 full house on the 452's and 500. No problem. As well, Homelite (UXL/196) mounts were common from the factory up here even though the studs are 5/16". They can be run with S-shaped stud spacers (factory) or 3-4 turns clipped from a 3/8" extension spring.

echo 702vl

i recently bought this saw for 100 bucks but the only probably is that it needs a carb rebuild. i can’t find any kits anywhere if you can point in the right direction that would be great

Look on the carb and get the number.

Most likely a Tillotson HS.
