Hi Guys
I picked up a brand new CS 352 from Home Depot the other day and for the life of me I cant get it started. I'm following the manuals starting instructions and using brand new pre mix with no ethanol. After I pull the rope several times to no avail, there is gas dripping from the muffler and the spark plus is wet. I haven't checked for spark yet. Any ideas or tricks? My CS 590 Timber Wolf starts right up so this is frustrating.

Thanks

After flooding it the first time, did you dry the plug and clear the excess fuel from the cylinder? Does it fire at all? If not, and the ignition switch is ON, maybe there's a loose wire. It's new, so take it back and have them give you one that works.

Yes, I pulled the plug and let everything dry for 20 minutes or so. The saw did not turn over on it's own at all. I will let dry further and try again tomorrow.

When it is badly flooded, just letting it sit won't cure it. You have to hold the saw with the plug hole at the lowest point and pull the engine over (ignition off) many times to get all the excess fuel out of the crankcase then install a clean, dry plug and try to start it with full throttle and NO choke. It might fire and quit, pull the plug and if it is wet the engine is STILL flooded and you will have to repeatedly pull the plug, clean it, dry it and try again.

Try not to get frustrated with it. You will like it when you get it running. I really like mine. It's a good little saw.

You really dont have to prime them anywhere as much as they say .. try taking the air filter off blowing a shot of compressed air into the carb pull choke out push the choke back in to set it to fast start without touching the trigger pull rope 5 time fast making sure the choke flap is open..... if that does not work take the plug out like other have said...these echo saws start super easy unless you did not hear it cough and kept pulling it with the choke on and flooding it really bad....you can also let it sit over night and usually the next day without a prime it will fire right up.....with gas coming out the muffler you may really need to take the plug out and clear the fuel.....

I also Got A Bad CS 352. After reading all the good things about it and hunting for one in stock for weeks. Purchased it 8 2 20 @ Home Depot Long Island Bayshore. with A large Can of True Fuel [sp?] $303.03 out the door. came assembled with a Blade scabbard. Read all the enclosed literature. Starting procedure in the book and on the NEW starting tag Different .
Got it to burp once. That is it another hour or so nothing. Removed the plug blew out the cylinder and plug. NOTHING ZERO. This Echo is a cheap plastic [censored] Chain brake handle was stiff to the extent of dangerous.
I wouldn't take another one for half price.. Maybe great at one time, but not longer. NOTE ::::: it was built June 2020

yeah, hopefully it gets off it's duff and gets running..... it's a good little saw. The air filter leaves much to be desired though, I always find dust in the carb throat just under the filter though...

I think mine is a 2016. All plastic just like yours. Got it new in box on eBay for $235 delivered. Fired right up then and everytime since. Has good power for it's size and weight. My only complaint is it doesn't put out as much bar oil as I like.

Did you find the adjustment screw and max it out? I’ve only burnt up one bar on a saw in my life. It was my little Echo 305. The mechanic at my dealer flipped it over when I complained about the little trickle of oil. Showed me the screw and said it was set all the way down. 50 years of commercial work and I always set the screw wide open. Back in the day of manual oilers I thought my right thumb was twice as big as my left from pumping oil.

I don't think it has an adjustable oiler. Is there a hidden one somewhere that I don't know about.
